Hero of the Seas
Royal Caribbean’s Hero of the Seas is the fourth ship in the groundbreaking Icon Class and is scheduled to launch in August 2027, sailing from Miami. Measuring approximately 1,198 feet (365 metres) in length and weighing around 250,800 gross tonnes, she ranks among the largest cruise ships in the world, sitting at the very top of global size rankings alongside her Icon‑class sister ships. The vessel features 19 decks and can accommodate over 5,600 guests at double occupancy, rising to around 7,600 passengers at full capacity, supported by roughly 2,350 crew members.
Hero of the Seas raises the bar for onboard choice, offering a record 28 restaurants and dining venues and more than 20 bars and lounges across Royal Caribbean’s signature neighbourhood design. Outdoor living is unmatched, with nine swimming pools, the most at sea, and Category 6, the largest waterpark ever built on a cruise ship, including the first funnel raft slide at sea. Signature experiences include the three‑deck Ultimate Family Treehouse suite and Crown’s Edge, a dramatic skywalk and zip‑line suspended 154 feet above the ocean. Designed as a next‑generation resort at sea, Hero of the Seas combines world‑class dining, thrilling attractions and vast open spaces on a truly record‑breaking scale.
